An amazing opportunity has come my way. A new association of artists has formed in my area. It was something we always talked about and envisioned but no one dared to form. Things started to align in the right way, energy was focused and North Central Illinois ARTworks was born. Four core group friends and colleagues, including myself form the nucleus of the group. We are growing fast and soon hope to be an official non-for-profit group within a few months.
Being in the the right place at the right time also helped in obtaining gallery space in Utica, Illinois at a local hotel called the Willows. The timing was perfect and with blood, sweat and tears the gallery was opened on February 6th. Welcome, to our gallery...
The gallery is filled with wonderful things. A variety of styles and prices to appeal to tourists (Utica is located near Starved Rock State Park and Mathison State Park) and local shoppers as well.
Luscious little cupcakes, sprinkled with glitter, adorned with this and that. Vintage bingo pieces and silver ballerinas perch ever so percariously on creamy frosting good enough to eat. One of the many items that I have in the gallery. Sure to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth!
