Black and White Ball

The ladies (and a few gentlemen) from the Avant Garden Market decided to attend the Black and White Ball put on by the Easter Seals. Not only was it a wonderful to support this much needed group but we also got a chance to "gussy it up" and pull out all the stops.

Annette from Annette Barr Photography was also there taking photos and gathered the garden girls for a group shot. Can't wait and will post soon.

Here's what Annette had to say about the evening... "Another great Easter Seals Black and White Ball completed. Past ambassadors attended to celebrate the fifth anniversary. Each one came out on the dance floor as his name was announced. I loved seeing their smiling faces. Race, last years co-ambassador, walked right up to my camera. When I put it down he gave me a high five. All of the sudden I was choked up. Last year when I photographed Race he could not walk. To see how much he has changed, how they all have, was amazing. I'm lucky to do what I do."

Wearing our finest from our store the garden girls had a fab night out! Enjoy the photos...
Everyone decided to have their hair done for the event. The stylist added a beaded flower that she had made. So cute.

Avant Garden girl Kaitlyn helps put the finishing touches on my hair with some feathers added to the back. Perfect
There was plenty of bling at the store to pick from. Pretty little bracelets that sparkle and shine.
Perfect.
Even my husband put on his diamond cufflinks. All the guys looked great in their black and white attire.
And, the garden girls. Well...what can I say. We each wore things from our stores that reflected our personalities. That necklace and vintage cape looked amazing. Can't tell you how much I loved it.
Our fearless leader, Jeriann knows how to pull a fabulous look together. Her hair was amazing. Marie Antoinette meets Magnolia Pearl.
Janine from Janine Irene Jewelry rocked her biker babe look with a great outfit from Iconic by Brooke.

I arrived in an Areve, black tutu dress over a black lace long sleeve t shirt. Black cowboy boots and a jean jacket completed the outfit. You can find this look and many others at A Mess of Things and Avant Garden in downtown Ottawa.

Great time. Good friends. The Easter Seals Black and White Ball!
